Ugo and His Pictures The Story of Ugo Tesoriere

Authored by Cecilia Cerasoli

Designed by Genevieve Cerasoli

Ugo Tesoriere was a medical doctor from New York who followed his dream all the way to Rome Italy to become a painter. He married Valeria Giannini, the daughter of an Italian diplomat and worked every day in his Roman studio for close to 40 years. At the end of his life, he decided to leave his entire life's work to his longtime friend Father Francis Kline, a Trappist monk in South Carolina.

In Ugo and His Pictures, Cecilia Cerasoli tells his fascinating story while educating and inspiring young people about what it means to be an artist as well as teaching them to identify the different genres of painting. Explore the world of Ugos pictures, then follow the project ideas at the end of the book and discover what it means to be an artist yourself!

This beautifully designed "read to me" book is a perfect vehicle for adults and children to discover and discuss art together.
